Community Point Park

A five-acre park located on the east shores of South Heron Lake, this park was obtained by the community of Lakefield and was later turned over to Jackson County to be used as a county park. Being located on South Heron Lake, this park provides an excellent site to enjoy and observe all types of waterfowl species.

The combination of sandy beaches and shaded park area makes this park a very unique and popular area during the summer months. Facilities include: Boat Landing, portable toilet, grills, picnic tables, shelter house with electricity, and playground equipment.

Location

Community Point Park is located at 83953 432nd Avenue, Lakefield, Mn  56150.  From Lakefield, go north on Hwy 86. Turn left on County Road 16, 840th St. (There will be a sign for Community Point Park). Follow this road until you come to the curve and Community Point County Park will be on your left side.
