Brown Park South

Brown Park South offers 4 cabins as well as 18 camping sites. Facilities include: picnic area, restroom, shelter house with fireplace and electricity, pressure water system, footbridge, grills, tables, playground equipment, designated handicapped-accessible campsites and docks, and an asphalt bike trail (walking/biking trail connecting to Robertson Park was constructed in 2006) connecting to the Dickinson County, Iowa, trail system (55 miles).  Dump station is located at Robertson Park.

Camping Cabin Information

Cabins include: (18' x 15' space) 1 bunk with a queen on bottom twin on top and one bunk with 2 twin beds, an Air Conditioning / Heating unit, a mini fridge, floor fan, a table, coat hooks, and a ceiling fan as pictured. Please note that bedding is not provided. Check out time for cabin is 10:00 AM. This time supersedes item #2, Section 8 of Jackson County Parks Ordinance #102.

Cabin Rules: No smoking; no damage from pet(s); maximum of 6 people for sleeping; cabin is to be left in the same condition as when you came; cabins are to be swept and all garbage taken out; table and floor are to be clean of any spills; mattresses are to be free of any damage; no excessive drinking, partying or roughhousing allowed; follow all other campground rules; no grills on the deck.

Security Deposit: There is a $40 security deposit for the cabin rental. Please write a separate check for this. We will return your check once we verify that there is no damage to the cabin and all cleaning requirements are met.
